Sofia Teixeira de Freitas
works at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering in the Delft University of Technology is an Assistant Professor. She received her M.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal and her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands. Her current research interest focuses on the understanding of the fracture and failure mechanisms of adhesively bonded structures, using the principles of structural mechanics.
is leading as CEO and Co-owner of Wagner Group the family business which was established in 1945 in the third generation. After graduating with a Master of Economics at University of St. Gallen, he joined McKinsey serving the automotive and machinery industry as project manager. He then had different management positions in the Norwegian Borregaard Group, among others led the Asia & Pacific Business in Singapore. After joining Rieter Group in Switzerland as Head Group Development he decided to change his career path from a corporate into a entrepreneurial path, taking on the operational responsibility for Wagner. Silvan is married and father of 3 kids.
holds the title of Emeritus Professor of Composite Materials Engineering at Newcastle University. His research interests lie in the processing, structure and properties of engineering polymers and composites, relating to their applications in the energy industries, land transport and aerospace. He has managed several Joint Industry Projects in these fields.
Laurent Morel works at the company InfraCore. He has previously had several positions at Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding. These include engineering and specialist roles for composites within vulnerability reduction and damage control. Mr Morel is currently working as Manager for operations at infraCore Company. The focus is on applications based on one worldwide patented, easy scalable technology for flat, light, heavy duty, load bearing panels of FRP.
